About This Blog

      Mindless Acts Of Random Intellect was officially born on October 7th, 2005, but it has ancestry dating back quite a bit longer than that. Originally the site was started as a pseudo-personal blog site for my own purposes. Having written professionally for many years I found that, after getting out of the business of writing, I'd grown to actually miss the outlet and the process. The site allowed me to continue to feel as if I was still on deadline--albeit with deadlines so lax that even I couldn't miss the them and yet I still find ways to do so.
      The goal of the site is to simply share opinions and perspectives and to foster conversation where desired. To that end I feel it's achieved everything I originally envisioned it as. This is especially noteworthy when you consider that I originally viewed blogs as quirky, foreign and silly vehicles for writing. Thankfully ignorance has a way of evolving at times and this is one of those cases.
